Description
Caribbean Sprinter Ltd. is seeking a Shipping Agent to join our team in Caye Caulker. The Shipping Agent will be responsible for handling and processing shipments traveling between Belize City, Caye Caulker, Caye Chapel, and San Pedro.
This role requires a high level of accuracy, organization, customer service, and accountability, as well as strict adherence to company shipping procedures to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient movement of shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare shipments for dispatch to Belize City, Caye Chapel, and San Pedro.
- Accurately register shipment details into the company’s shipping system.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled with the correct recipient, destination, and shipment information.
- Sort and organize packages according to destination and scheduled vessel departures.
- Ensure all outgoing shipment is loaded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Handle cash, credit card, debit card, and account payments in accordance with company procedures.
- Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Balance cash and payment records at the end of each shift if required.
- Communicate effectively with team members, captains, and other departments regarding shipment status and shipment movement.
Requirements
Education & Experience- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in shipping, cargo handling, customer service, or office administration is an advantage.
- Cash handling experience is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Skills and Competencies- Good customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer knowledge
- Working knowledge of dimensional weight calculations
- Basic mathematics skills

Additional Requirements- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be dependable, punctual, and responsible
- Must be willing to work scheduled shifts based on operational needs
Salary Range
- Training Salary $6 / hour
- Post Training Salary $7.25 / hour

Hours
- This is a full-time position, requiring 45 hours per week
- Shipping Department operating hours are 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Seven (7) Days a Week
- Work schedules will be assigned based on the Shipping Department operating hours and business needs
